WHY I RECOMMEND YWAM ST. MORITZ
The YWAM St. Moritz Outdoor DTS (Disciple Training School) is a focused and extended time for participants to grow as disciples and in their outdoor leadership skills. Course content is connected to outdoor experiences to give practical, experiential ways of learning. After completing course content, participants travel for an outreach in which they practice the skills of disciple-making in a cross-cultural context.

BRIEF HISTORY OF HOW YWAM ST. MORITZ GOT STARTED AND WHY IT EXISTS
YWAM St. Moritz is a new pioneering location of Youth With A Mission. YWAM is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. We at YWAM St. Moritz love God and love the outdoors. Located in one of the most beautiful mountain valleys of Switzerland we have plenty of opportunities right in front of our doors. Our vision is to share God’s love in the outdoor sphere and to equip young leaders who go to the nations and engage the world with the transforming message of the Gospel. DURATION OF TRIPS OFFERED
Over the duration of the school, there are several 4-5 day trips, as well as one-day outdoor activities. There is also a 2-month outreach phase that will be outside Switzerland.
EXPEDITIONARY LEARNING ELEMENTS INCLUDED ON TRIPS
- Daily devotion or quiet times
- Solo experience (either a few hours or day-long solos)

WHAT MAKES A SUCCESSFUL WILDERNESS TRIP?
A successful wilderness trip is one that our participants grow closer to God, learn more about themselves, and are able to apply the learned lessons to their lives. We believe that God wants us to learn and grow during different circumstances and for that reason, we welcome challenges and ask the question “How can I grow through it?”
