Operating since the 1970s, Voice of Wilderness has a highly experienced and educated guide staff that excel in Christian outdoor adventure facilitation. Their expeditionary trips effectively bring the gospel and spiritual growth to a wide variety of people including youth, men, women, couples and more. They offer unique trips with varying levels of comfort and challenge so not to miss out on providing a meaning outdoor spiritual experience for anyone. Voice of Wilderness is an official outfitter/guide for the U.S. Forest Service.

WHERE VOICE OF WILDERNESS OPERATES

Voice of Wilderness conducts trips in a variety of locations throughout the Rocky Mountains. The majority of trips are in the Weminuche Wilderness within the San Juan National Forest of Southwestern Colorado. Tennessee and Minnesota trips are also available.

The primary goal of Voice of Wilderness is to communicate the reality of Jesus Christ and the practical application of the teachings found in the books of the Bible.

Brief History of How Voice of Wilderness Got Started and Why It Exists

Voice of Wilderness was established in 1973 as a calling to Chet Russell to help people understand their calling in God’s creation – see His mighty attributes and His power.

There are 6-7 day trips and 14+ day trips available.

One where Biblical are incorporated into the trip in normal conversation as well as devotional time is primary. Secondary, safe, fun wilderness trips that meet the goal of the trip.
