SROM (Solid Rock Outdoor Ministries) is a premier Christ-centered deep wilderness ministry. At SROM, the wilderness is a context for discipling sons and daughters of God to be influential leaders in their communities and circles of influence. SROM has been providing industry-leading wilderness adventure experiences for youth and young adults for over 28 years. SROM is headquartered in Laramie, Wyoming and has served churches, parachurch organizations, schools, and institutions of higher education throughout the country.

BRIEF HISTORY OF HOW SROM GOT STARTED AND WHY IT EXISTS
SROM was founded by Drew Arnold in 1983 in response to a vision God spoke to his heart when he prayed, “God what would you have me do with this passion in my heart for utilizing your creation as a context for ministry.” In response to that prayer, Drew believed the Lord showed him countless points of light around the world that represented Christ followers who had been impacted, equipped and discipled in the context of wilderness ministry. Drew knew he wanted to be a part of what God was doing and going to do to raise up Christ followers around the world through wilderness ministry so we started SROM. SROM exists to introduce people to Jesus and to mature Christ followers to become loving and loyal disciples who make disciples in the context of wilderness environments.
WHAT MAKES A SUCCESSFUL WILDERNESS ADVENTURE TRIP?
Instructors provide an excellent and professional wilderness expedition experience whereby students are oriented, safe and valued throughout the course and students leave having experienced spiritual transformation/impact, authentic community, leadership development, character formation and acquired hard skills.
HOW SROM INTRODUCES GROW IN THEIR FAITH
This is integrated into almost every aspect of a course from daily and ongoing prayer, worship, quiet times, focused and directed teaching and discussions about Jesus, teachable/experiential moments on course, direct debriefing of experiences that point to Christ. Wilderness is the means by which we seek the end of developing loving and loyal followers of Jesus.
