BRIEF HISTORY OF HOW SFC GOT STARTED AND WHY IT EXISTS
Snowboarders & Skiers for Christ is a grassroots organization that exists to bridge the ski/snowboard culture to Jesus, partnering with the local Church. SFC’s vision is to be the light of Jesus in the ski/snowboard culture.
SFC leaders believe God’s Word calls them to find their identity in Jesus, to engage those within their culture through genuine, loving relationships and to do selfless acts for others as they share the Gospel message.
WHAT MAKES A SUCCESSFUL WILDERNESS ADVENTURE TRIP?
We believe that a successful camp or SFC event can be measured by whether or not Jesus was shared with those who attended. This can be done by sharing personal testimonies, sharing verses or a devotional, or in conversation by the staff/volunteers and the attendees.
HOW SFC INTRODUCES PEOPLE TO CHRIST
We selflessly demonstrate our love for Jesus by putting others ahead of ourselves and serving one another and the most important thing in our lives is the Good News, and we readily share that message of hope in our words and deeds.
