Teenagers who are at risk or who are struggling carry heavy burdens. It can even take years of counseling to cope with many of their challenges. Wilderness experiences provide an uninterrupted space for intensive Gospel-centered counseling that can bring hope and healing to their life. BRIEF HISTORY OF HOW SEEDS WILDERNESS THERAPY GOT STARTED AND WHY IT EXISTS
Seeds uses the transformation we find through Christ in His creation (Colorado backcountry) with the techniques of Christian counseling to bring wholeness to youth at risk. Students often struggle with addiction, suicide, low self esteem or depression, and other mental health challenges. Through 10-12 weeks of outdoor discipleship and counseling, our students go home with a new sense of hope and a reason for living life abundantly!

EXPEDITIONARY LEARNING ELEMENTS INCLUDED ON TRIPS
- Daily devotion or quiet times
- Solo experience (either a few hours or day-long solos)

WHAT MAKES A SUCCESSFUL WILDERNESS TRIP?
Ultimately we measure success with the mitigation of challenges and behaviors along with a deeper trust of Jesus Christ. This leads the students going home then with a renewed sense of purpose and hope to support their home environment. (CF Mark 5:19)
