BRIEF HISTORY OF HOW CAMP MERRI-MAC & CAMP TIMBERLAKE GOT STARTED AND WHY THEY EXIST
Camp Merri-Mac & Camp Timberlake is a christian summer camp for girls & boys, located in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Since 1945 campers have made life-long friends while enjoying some of the happiest summers of their lives. Camp Merri-Mac & Camp Timberlake are traditional camp that believes that we are called to do all things to the glory of God. We believe that it pleases God when we teach our activities, plan our summer camp program, foster friendships, serve our meals, build our cabins, climb rocks, learn to roll a kayak and train our horses with excellence as the standard. This is especially important in choosing staff. All of our camp counselors are chosen to serve in Christian leadership. They must have a high view of Scripture and a strong understanding of grace and the gospel. Our chapel and devotion times are very important, but much more important is the Christian leadership demonstrated by our counselors.
Children come to camp to have fun. We believe the happiest environment is one in which the love of Jesus Christ is displayed by the staff and experienced by everyone.

Every aspect of what we do points at the Gospel. This is communicated and translated through our staff and their relationships with the campers, through, our chapel services and small group devotions.
DURATION OF TRIPS OFFERED
They offer girls and boys trips ranging from 1-14+ days.
COSTS
Trips cost in the range of $100-$150.
