Ascend Outdoor Adventures uses the outdoors to facilitate experiential learning, point people to Christ, and disciple Christ followers. They follow the rhythm of Jesus in the Bible: retreat, then return to minister to the community.

We endeavor to teach our clients how to enjoy the outdoors in a safe and responsible manner. This includes environmental awareness and safety precautions.
BRIEF HISTORY OF HOW ASCEND OUTDOOR ADVENTURES GOT STARTED AND WHY IT EXISTS
Ascend started in 2010 because we felt called by the Lord to begin a new outdoor ministry in Austin Texas. Ascend exists because there is a huge need in our area to help churches and other ministry groups do discipleship through the outdoors in a way that is safe, professional, biblical, and sustainable.

We try to integrate the Gospel into every aspect of our programming, often this looks like a scheduled group teaching time, but frequently these are one to one conversations that happen “as we are going”. We see it is our calling to help everyone we meet to better understand who Jesus is, what He has done for them, and to commit their lives to His Lordship in loving relationship.

Weekend trips are $100, week-long trips are $400, multi-week trips vary in price.

Ascend outdoors adventures has impacted our children greatly with activities such as team-building, volunteering, hiking, swimming, camping, canoeing, climbing, and repelling. I cannot say enough good things about their program, the staff & the volunteers! Our kids come from tough situations and are very blessed to have a program such as this! Most of them would not have an opportunity to do these types of activities if it were not for Ascend outdoor adventures.
