Sunset in Wind Rivers, WY
When I am pressed due to circumstances to fully trust in God, the display of beauty in Creation points me to the Intelligent Design of a Painter who has the sovereign ability to attend to my circumstances. As I snapped this photo in the Wind Rivers in Wyoming recently I couldn’t help but to think of the following Scripture passage and quote from St. Ireneaus:
“The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech, and night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard (Psalm 19:1-3).”
St. Irenaeus of Lyons (129-203) said, “For even creation reveals him who formed it, and the very work made suggests him Who made it, and the world manifests him Who ordered it.”
Reflection Question for Today:
- Are you facing any trials that seem insurmountable? Consider the Painter (God) who paints such beauty in the sky every morning and evening and ponder, “If he is capable of making the sky look like this, certainly he is faithful and able to attend to my needs.” Please comment below!
