NOAH’S ARK VISION
To challenge and encourage people in their relationships with God, others, and themselves.
BRIEF HISTORY OF HOW NOAH’S ARK GOT STARTED AND WHY IT EXISTS
Noah’s Ark was started in response to the need for a ministry-oriented and family friendly rafting company that churches, camps, ministries, and families could enjoy, feel safe with, and leverage for their desired ministry goals. Noah’s Ark began operating in 1983 as a rafting company and added both a backpacking and rock climbing program in the next couple years. In 2013, the Brown’s Canyon Adventure Park, a 60+ element Challenge Course was added onsite to further round out the activities we can offer to our guests.
WHAT MAKES A SUCCESSFUL WILDERNESS ADVENTURE TRIP?
We really seek to understand well what each group is hoping to accomplish through their trip. We have some ideas of techniques, skills, conversations and experiences that tend to be meaningful for people. But at the end of the day, a successful wilderness/adventure trip deals starts with exceeding the groups’ expectations.
HOW NOAH’S ARK INTRODUCES PEOPLE TO CHRIST
We invest a-lot in hiring the right people, we invest a lot into the spiritual community of our staff, and we try to be crystal clear on our philosophy of ministry in a way that leaves room for the guides to use their own judgment, make decisions, and utilize their specific giftings.
