Wide Open Spaces staffWide Open Spaces New Zealand is an outdoor ministry which began in New Zealand with the vision to take young people out into the bush of New Zealand for the purpose of helping the connect with Jesus Christ through His Creation.  This December, Jon Hoppin and Kathleen McCormack of WMI were privileged to partner with our friends at Wide Open Spaces to conduct a “Counseling and Content” training in preparation for their summer of ministry (January 2011).  They have had an incredible summer of ministry with four tramps (back packing trips) going out… and they braved some tough weather as well.  If you would like to see more pictures and read stories about their wilderness ministry this summer, you can go to the Wide Open Spaces New Zealand blog.

Good on ya NZ Crew!  Our prayers are with you.

In Christ,

Ashley Denton (Director: Wilderness Ministry Institute, Author: Christian Outdoor Leadership: Theology, Theory, and Practice)
