The Element of Surprise in Experiential Learning

Since I am a fan of experiential learning, the surprise factor in this video is really well done.

THE ELEMENT OF SURPRISE IN EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

This is an incredible real life illustration of extravagant and thoughtful generosity. It highlights the element of surprise in experiential learning. Even though the warm myth of Santa Claus is used as the backstory or this 5 minute video, this reminds me of the intensity of God’s love for people…

The Heavenly Father sent the incomparable gift of his Son to be born, to live, and to ultimately die for us. Imagine the gifts in the carousel at the end of this video being the Good News of Jesus offered to everyone who would accept it…

And the angel said to them, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. – Luke 2:10-11

REFLECTION

  • How can you “show” people the love of Jesus this Christmas season by thoughtfully planning something extravagantly generous toward them? Think of a way that you can you carefully communicate the Gospel message in your act of love or service?
